Andrew David Barker is a UK screenwriter, novelist, and film director. As a filmmaker, he wrote and directed the post-apocalyptic micro-feature, A Reckoning, which starred Leslie Simpson and Axelle Carolyn, and has made several award-winning short films, including Laura Living Backwards, which he co-wrote with director Kate Horlor, Shining Tor, Two Old Boys, and Baby on Board, from a script by Stephen Volk. In the feature film world, Barker is a co-screenwriter on the forthcoming horror, How to Survive the Wild, starring Tim Plester and Richard Brake, directed by Adam Park, and the writer/director of the micro-budget chiller, The House on Lidderman Street. He is also the co-screenwriter of the British gangland thriller, Improper Bastards, directed by Rick Roberts, and has several other projects in development for 2027. He is the author of The Electric, Dead Leaves, The Winterman, and Society Place, and is an Arts Council Grant recipient for his writing.
